I am Suleiman

An Energy Data & Metering Analyst with a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and hands-on experience in utility-scale Electricity Operations and Energy Loss Analysis.

I currently focus on using data analytics, SQL, Python, and Power BI to understand how electricity systems perform — from generation and energy mix to carbon intensity and emissions — and how they can transition toward cleaner, more efficient, and more reliable power systems.

My Story

I have several years of experience working in the Nigerian power sector at Ikeja Electric Plc, one of Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution companies.

In this role, I worked at the intersection of engineering, field operations, and data analysis, supporting:

Electricity consumption and transformer-level analysis
Identification of loss patterns and system inefficiencies
Data-driven decision-making for operational improvements
Technical reporting and stakeholder communication

This experience gave me a ground-level understanding of how electricity systems actually operate, beyond theory — including infrastructure constraints, data quality challenges, and the real-world trade-offs utilities face.
